Participate in research
EXPRESS Study
We are looking for 11-16-year-olds to participate in an in-person study. We're looking for teens, their parent, and a friend to come to our lab for a 2-hour study. In this study, are interested in investigating how people use their facial expressions and tone of voice to communicate their emotions to others. To do this, we will ask participants to complete a conversation task with their friend and parent, where they will discuss neutral topics, and happy and angry topics of their choosing. Participants will complete an emotional expression task and questionnaires. We also collected a hair sample as a measure of pubertal status.
Teens will receive $30, and their friends will receive $10 as a thank you for their time.
